Your Privacy Matters

Transparency & purpose

Signed-in city searches use Google Geocoding to find city coordinates. Guest searches use OpenWeather or OpenStreetMap. When you agree and submit your site, coordinates are used to request weather, climate and regional soil information from OpenWeather, Open-Meteo and SoilGrids. Signed-in searches for nurseries and landscapers send your coordinates to Google Places within a radius of up to 100 km; the OpenStreetMap directory remains available to guests.

Garden plans & photos

Your location, coordinates, garden details and generated plan are saved in this browser. If you sign in, you can keep several garden projects and switch between them. These projects remain in this browser, grouped by account; they are not synchronized across devices. AI planting and climate advice requests share relevant garden details with Lovable AI. Rendering a garden sends your chosen photo and design brief to the image service via Lovable AI. Avoid uploading people, vehicle plates or other identifying details.

Yard photos are previewed locally and sent to the image service only when you request a visualization.

Project galleries & local resources

Generated visualizations and saved nursery or landscaper contacts are stored with the active project in this browser. They remain on this device, not synchronized across devices. You can download or delete saved images; deleting an image does not reset the generation allowance. Account-linked project identifiers, generation counts and paid-access status are stored securely by NaturePhenomena to enforce project allowances. Botanical gap-filling requests share the plant identity and climate zone with Gemini through Lovable AI; estimates are labelled and are not guarantees of plant survival.

Security & service providers

Private service keys stay on the server, not in visitors’ browsers. External services process the information needed for their tasks under their own privacy and retention policies. Browser storage is not an encrypted personal vault; anyone using this browser profile may see the saved plan. This notice does not promise that external providers immediately delete data.

How we use your location

We use your city-level location only to calculate your hardiness zone, sun path, climate history and nearby nurseries or landscapers (up to 100 km radius). Full street addresses are reduced to city and country before lookup. Location is never sold or used for advertising.

Communication

When you sign in, your garden assistant messages are stored in your account so the conversation continues across visits. You can start a new conversation at any time, which deletes the old conversation. If you book a live consultation, your contact details and topic are shared with our garden expert. If you ask for a human through the assistant, your contact details, topic and recent chat are shared with the expert. Expert will reply within 2 business days. We only contact you about your request.

Cookie policy

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage for your garden plan, saved projects and nurseries, your measurement preference, and a sign-in session token when you have an account. “Remember me” controls whether that sign-in survives closing the browser. Clearing your browser data removes these.
